I bought the Holy Stone HS270 for my son who is 9 years old and he loves it. Flight instructions are very clear and we were able to fly the drone with no hesitation after we charged the battery. As a parent , I loved the price and the quality so much that I ordered a 2nd HS270 drone for my other son. Battery life lasts about 15 minutes so we ordered a 2nd battery so the fun can continue. Holy Stone's Customer Service Representative was very friendly and knowledgable and I appreciated that when I initially called they were closed but they called me back the next day.
Video and Photo Quality look good too! Overall, this is a solid drone.

If you’re ignorant about drones or don’t want to spend this much on a product not knowing if the reviews are true or maybe buying something you won’t enjoy... stop. Just stop. Do not worry about this drone! I have zero associations with this company so my review is true without bias. This drone is seriously perfect for the beginner or advanced flyer.
I have zero experience with drones. I have only flew like a little 20 dollar toy that crashes every two seconds. So with zero experience plus the price tag I was kind of scared to fly it.
Day one: I read the instructions and I was a little overwhelmed hoping I wouldn’t miss a step in calibration and setting it up. So if you’re reading this when you get the drone just slow down take a breath and just go step by step. It’s not hard as it seems and after doing it once you will find calibration simple. Basically hold down the power button until all blue lights are on the move the joysticks to the corners rotate the drone horizontal and vertical counter clockwise and set it down and your done. It’s very easy.
So once I set up the drone with my phone (the drone has its own WiFi) I opened the app and immediately I was impressed. I can view the camera on my phone with this drone so I can basically see what the drone sees and fly it accordingly.
I took off with a swipe of my phone with the app and it hovered in the same place perfectly. Then raised the drone to a height I never thought a drone like this would go. It was high. So high it scared me that it would drop down or take off on me or the wind would get it. Don’t worry a bit. At all! Just be cautious. If you’re a beginner don’t fly around trees or power lines. My first day I basically just flew it up and down and that’s it because of my fear. Now I can fly all over and maneuver this thing with ease. It’s so user friendly and stable. I love the stability. It stays exactly where u want it. Then when I was done with my first flight I swiped the return home feature and it literally landed exactly by itself where I took off maybe by just a few inches. This thing is sick. For the price this thing is flipping awesome. A few days later I tried the follow me feature and it’s got some issues but it does work just not perfectly. I don’t know why so I can’t comment on that. The camera is actually decent. Really decent. Look at my video. It does hold a SD card and that works as well and records automatically so you don’t have to do anything it just records every flight.
Look I’m poor and I don’t have a lot of money and I’m a single dad of two girls full time. The mom is not with us anymore. So I watch my money tight and I need a hobby and I found one and I’m telling you don’t hesitate on this product. You’ll love it.

It is easy to take off and land and is excellent in handling. I have been amazed how easy it has been to begin learning with the HS270.
