To help out my fellow drone enthusiasts, I would like to share my observations and experience with two different Holystone drones. I am a new drone enthusiast. First I played around with some small indoor drones. Then I did some research on the internet for a good quality and reasonably priced drone. First I chose and purchased Holystone HS100 drone. It is a pretty nice drone for a beginner. I really enjoyed playing with it. I could fly it high and above and take photos and videos. HS100 is a nice drone with a few limitations. The camera that the drone came installed with, was a 720p. So sometimes the picture quality was a bit blurry. I communicated with Holystone customer service. Holystone has a very good customer service and I worked with Libby. Libby is a friendly, cooperative and a great customer service representative. Libby helped me buy a 1080p camera for the HS100 drone. Installation was not difficult. I liked the quality of the videos and photos from this new 1080p camera. Then I wanted to graduate into bit higher quality drone with little more capabilities. I again did some research and I chose Holystone HS700. Once again, Libby at Holystone was very helpful in the process. Following are my observations and reviews on this great little drone (HS700).
HS700 is sleek little drone. I got a white one instead of the black. This drone looks and feels great. It came with a sleek into remote control. Right out of the box, the propellers were very easy to install as you just screw them in. The camera and the landing gears were equally easy to install. Here are some of the features I really like about my new HS700 drone:
1. HS700 came with a High Definition 1080p camera and it takes great photos and videos. 2. It has a little more powerful (2800 mAh) Lithium ion battery. So you can fly for about 20 minutes in one charge. 3. The transmitter has a range of 3280 feet. Which means you can fly and control the drone at more than half a mile away (.62 mile to be exact). This is really nice. 4. It has a one touch Takeoff and Landing button. 5. The drone is equipped with GPS technology. So at all times the drone knows its location and when pressed the Return-to-Home (RTH) button, the drone can automatically return to its original takeoff location. 6. The drone has a one-press failsafe Return-to-Home button. So if you think you are flying the drone too close to a building or a tree, or it has gotten too far away, instead of using joystick control to figure out which way to turn to bring it back, just press the RTH button and the drone straightaway starts to fly back to its original takeoff location. 7. This drone does not have an obstacle avoidance technology. So in order to avoid running into any buildings or trees on its return flight, as soon as you press the RTH button, the drone immediately goes higher, so that it can avoid any of those objects on its way back. Then it flies back and hover over the takeoff location and then slowly descends to the spot. I like this nice feature. 8. HS700 has a Headless mode feature, so you have more control over which direction you want to fly the drone, instead of flying forward, backward, left or right. 9. This drone has an interesting feature, where if the battery power goes down to 1 or 2 bars, which you can monitor on the remote control, the drone will automatically start to fly back to the original takeoff location from where it took off. This is also a nice feature. 10. This drone has a Follow-me button. Once you switch it on, the drone will follow you from a safe distance. 11. From the App on the phone, you can press a button to have the drone circle around you at a height you choose. You can record videos from the camera as it circles around you and the camera will focus on you (in fact the camera will point towards the remote in your hand) as it circle around you. You can increase or decrease the radius of the flight from within the App.
So, as you can tell, this is a sleek looking nice drone with lots of nice features that I like. I really like my HS700 drone. Hope this review is helpful to all of you in your decision making process.
Awesome Drone for anyone

I'm new to the Drone trend I am so inpressed with the Holly Stone HS700 the GPS holds this bird right in it's holding hoover even in light winds. This Drone is very easy and fun to fly. The only con is the long battery charge time but can be over come by buying another battery the pro with the battery is it flies up to 20 minutes. This drone is full of the lastest technology all for under $350 dollars. I have the white colored drone and it is very visible against the bule sky. I would recommend this drone to anyone. This drone rocks !!
Professional featured drone a novice could fly almost immediately!

This is the 4th Holy Stone drone I have purchased. Second one for me and two others for my grandson. Every one has had minor crashes with only insignificant scratches! These things are tough!
What I REALLY love about the HS700 is, like my HS400, it could be flown almost immediately by a novice but the HS700 is a drone on steroids! Has GPS features like hovering in place and I mean IN PLACE even on windy days, Follow Me Mode, and it Returns To Home (launch place) via; a remote button, loss of remote to drone signal or when battery is almost exhausted really sets this machine apart. It also comes with longer flight times, higher quality videos and photos.
I found the HS700 very easy to assemble, easy to fly, and the Remote has a LCD screen with; drone to remote signal strength, # of satellites it's connected to, drone elevation and distance from where it took off from, and battery indicators. The remote screen also lets you know if you are taking photos or video to the camera's SD card without a phone being linked!
Included some great unedited photos & a short video.
Fun to fly great videos and features

The holy stone HS700 arrived in two days i like the look of it and all of the features like circling a point that you apply i used that feature to take video of my sons soccer practice the video came out wonderful its easy to learn how to use the controlls just make sure you read all materials that come with it and get used to the app its my first white drone i was worried about seeing it but it is easy to see in the sky it's super quite has brushless Motors so they will last longer it's a joy to fly i would definitely recommend it over other GPS drones i hope the weather holds out for another month so i can use some of the other features the snow is on the way the wind is hear and it does very well in the wind thanks to the powerful Motors

I've been thinking about getting a drone for a while, but I was always worried about spending a bunch of money and then either losing or destroying the drone through my fault or the drones. The price was low enough for me to be comfortable to buy it, and it's features give me the confidence to fly it without much worry of losing or crashing it. I live in Hawaii as well so I was interested to see how it would hold up with constant wind more or less. It flew great on my first flight and I'm excited for the next one.
Great quality, hobby grade, true features

I’ve been flying this for a while now. Easy to learn out of the box. Not many bells and whistles. Takes a beating. I’ve smashed into walls at full speed from 30 feet up and after it hit the floor, reboot, and it just flies right up again. Not a lot of features, the follow thing works, BUT it doesn’t avoid objects, so you can only really use that feature in an open field. The GPS features are on point and really freak you out. Open the map, draw the pattern with your finger and you fly up the height, but it will follow the pattern perfectly. Scary to see it fly away and back again but good to know it works. Wish the camera was a little better, photos are OK, no fpv. The angle control on the camera is really useful and flies really steady for movies. The videos come out really good. Just resolution is kind of low.
