What got my attention was the Electronic image stabilization (EIS). Well i wasn't disappointed. One Thing about this is that putting it in the carry case you'll have to remove the propellors which is very simple (no screws).
Which also makes it rather simple if you have to swap out a damaged prop. Haven't tested all the features as yet but it flies great, very stable and responsive. Oh, one feature that i didn't know that it came with but was pleasantly surprised was the lights on the bottom (which are bright and turn on and off). For the price, this is worth getting. I see lots of fun flying in my future.

Great Quadcopter to start doing aerial video and photos. Good price and quality!

I got this HS700E quadcopter as a first more high end quadcopter to play with for flying and taking video and photos. Previously, I flew the toy ones that did not have sophisticated electronics like GPS and high end 4K video cameras. I was impressed when I opened the box with the quality feel of the packaging and foam padded container for the quad, as well as the high quality feel of the quadcopter, controller, and detailed manual instructions that allowed me to learn how to use this machine.

I charged the batteries, which took a few hours, and took it for a test flight. I was a little nervous having crashed the lighter quadcopters I've flown, and there was a slight breeze on my street. This HS700E is a bit heavier and stood up to the light wind well. In the attached video, I did a quick review, followed by some clips of me flying, followed by some clips of video from the phone app that was paired to the quadcopter. I'm guessing the 4K video quality would be on the microSD card in the quad, versus what's going to the phone over wifi.

I had a lot of fun flying this for the first few times, and will take it to the park soon to get a little more adventurous in flying altitude as well as distance away from me in a more open space. First impressions are that this thing is really cool, and I'm looking forward to flying it a lot more in the coming weeks. If I have any issues or thoughts that warrant an update to this review, I'll post something. Otherwise, would definitely recommend buying this for the price.

Update 1: Went back to the park and was able to fly with the "follow me" function. Very cool the quad follows and points the camera at you as you move around. Also used the "land at home function" and the quad was able to come over and land itself. So far so good and I'm much less worried about crashing given these functions built into the app on the phone paired to the quad.

Update 2: Today I figured out that I was in a "beginner mode" which wouldn't allow me to fly further away. So, I turned that off :) I was able to go up to ~300 ft when my wifi video cut out. I also flew hundreds of feet away comfortably because I knew that "home" button would bring the quadcopter right back. I successfully used the waypoint directed flight over the phone app, and the circulating around a point of interest. I am thoroughly impressed so far with the quality of the quadcopter hardware and software - even in moderately windy conditions the performance is impressive.

The best drone at the best price!

This is by far the best drone I've ever owned. I've only had it a day and flown it twice (depleted both batteries) and I'll update this review as I've had more time with it but I felt compelled to give my first impression of this perfect drone for anyone.

First off, it's packaged so perfectly in its case with 2 batteries, 2 charge cables, 2 sets of propellers (the propellers MUST be removed for storage in the case), the drone itself and the transmitter. The propellers are installed prior to each use by aligning each A and B prop to its corresponding brushless motor. Simply align the propeller into the slots of the motor, push down and turn in the proper direction to lock it in place.

The batteries are pretty self explanatory as to how they're installed and their lifespan is about 20-25 minutes each.

Turn the transmitter on, then turn the drone on (just follow the included directions and you won't have ANY issues). IF YOU HAVE AN ANDROID PHONE, SET YOUR PHONE TO AIRPLANE MODE PRIOR TO CONNECTING TO THE DRONE'S WIFI!!! That's a very important step. The Ophelia GO app doesn't work well with Android according to the reviews, but the entire (nearly hour) time that I flew the drone I never had ANY issue with it. JUST REMEMBER TO GO IN TO ITS APP SETTINGS AND TAKE IT OUT OF BEGINNER MODE!!! I forgot to do this the first flight and was extremely confused as to why the drone wouldn't do what I wanted it to. After I got it off beginner mode there were no further issues.

I actually measured the transmission range by GPS map and at about 540m, the video transmission will lose contact with your phone however you'll still be able to control the drone (if you can see it that far away or hit the RTH button if you can't see it and it's high enough to avoid striking any obstacles as it doesn't have obstacle avoidance) and it'll record to the TF card the whole time (Mine has a 32gb card). Each 5 minute video takes up over 1gb of space on the TF card provided you're recording in 4k.

The camera is phenomenal. 4k recording is stored on the TF card but 1080p is stored in the app. Videos are not stored on your phone so you have to transfer them to it. The gimbal and electronic image stabilization work FLAWLESSLY and produce the best and smoothest videos.

I didn't have a chance to test ORBIT Fly, TAP Fly, or FOLLOW Me modes as I was in awe at the drone's stability in the wind, video quality, and flight times per battery. I'll update this review as I have more time to test these features.

If you're looking for a drone at a very reasonable price that will accomplish any of your video/pic requirements and is actually really fast for its size and weight then the HS700E (yes this is the E and not the D) is the only drone you'll ever need. It weighs in at nearly 600grams so you'll have to go to the FAA's Drone Zone website to register it ($5). You WON'T regret this choice of drone....I LOVE my HS700E. Thank you Holy Stone!!!!

So my first two times it was windy outside, not ideal. But gps worked really really well. Return to home lands within 1-2ft of original location. I'm my pic you can see me teaching my 12 year old. She crashed it in the grass but it helps up fine. Propeller guards did their job. The camera is really easy to use and takes great looking photos. I haven't tried it with the onboard memory yet. Hopefully today is it's not windy.

One thing to note, unless you know what you are doing do NOT fly this indoors lol. Broke 2 props as it slammed into my basement ceiling. Thankfully there are extras in the box!

Awesome durable drone, bang for buck hard to beat!

First drone over $29.99...with all the features and 20+ min flight time this drone is great...and for the price compared to other similar drones is awesome. Read / Download Manual 2 - 3 times to avoid frustration. First preflight calibration and setup took 5 - 10 min...after 12 flights the preflight takes about 30 sec. This drone flys awesome all features work as they are supposed to as described in the MANUAL....even if you think you know what a feature does double check the manuals explanation...alot of helpful details there, if first time go to huge open area....not neighborhood, headless mode is cool, headed mode is more fun IMO...also very durable, wrecked 3-4 times, still flys like new..lots of fun, definitely recommend...the ONE downfall for me is the charging time....my kids power wheels JD tractor charges faster...but for the price it's hard to complain...so bang for buck I wonder how an $800 - $1000 drone performs...waterproof? Night vision, better cam, quickness, payload?...
