Sleek, quick and easy for beginners! The remote control range is great, I haven’t lost video so far and the photo quality is excellent! The carrying case makes it super easy to bring around and it is incredibly light. However despite how light it is, it held its own without issue in 8-10mph winds. The fact that it comes with TWO batteries makes this an incredible deal. Awesome beginner drone but has speed and maneuverability for more intermediate users. I switched to the map to track the drone via gps and was able to use the hand gestures feature to take photos while I wasn’t holding the remote. The stability is solid too, it hold steady and self corrects in the face of wind. Highly recommended drone in this price range!

I don’t like the app nor the cell phone holder! The drone it self has a smooth landing! I actually didn’t have no issues with the HS165 it is more than what you paid for! I use it for relaxing and getting more fly time!

This small drone, with features, is awesome! The first one had a defect which would not allow the drone to fly but after contacting customer service, they immediately replaced the drone, awesome customer service!! Fantastic. The second drone flew flawlessly and was much more than I had imagined! Due to the high winds from Hurricane Sally in my East Tennessee area, I am cautious about flying it on those days but that is me being extra cautious. I have crashed it a few times but this drone is very sturdy and suffered no damage.
I use a Galaxy S-5 phone and the drone connects to it without any problems and I use the HS GPS PRO App on my phone. In my area, my drone connects to 13-16 satellites although 7 is all you need. I do have to turn off my home WI-FI so my phone will stay connected to the drones WI-FI. Away from my home, no problem!
Anyone wanting a starter drone OR to anyone wanting an upgrade, this little flying magic is what you need for a flying camera! It gets me up and above the world and the pictures it produces are awesome. I do use an ultra high speed 32G micro card for better captures. Pictures are included in this review. When viewed on my 65" TV, pictures looks amazing.
Looking for an inexpensive drone, you can't beat the quality and backing of the Holy Stone Company and the HS165 GPS FPV with 2K HD Camera.

Th Holy Stone 165 is my second Holy Stone Drone. It is a wonderful little drone loaded with features such as follow me, circle and waypoints. It is great that is foldable which makes it super easy to bring along. The 2k camera takes very nice photos. For the price, I don’t think you will find a better foldable drone with all the features this drone has. I would highly recommend Holy Stone as a company and the 165 is a perfect drone for the beginner

Affordable yet fancy drone for beginners

I purchased this drone as a birthday present for my daughter and this is the first drone she’s ever owned. We were pleasantly surprised after several flights in the park. This drone is so beginner friendly yet has so many fancy functions of a professional drone.

Pros for beginners:
1. Great instruction book. We read the instruction book briefly the first time we flied the drone, and every time when we had a problem flying. The instructions are easy to locate in the book and clear enough for the drone to hold in the sky while you finish reading and make the next move.
2. Easy pairing, and easy start. To pair, the operator just need to turn on the controller within 15 seconds that the drone was turned on. It has one button taking off function.
3. RTH. Return to home is a very useful function in case you lose control or sight of the drone. During our testing, the drone would land within around 1-1.5’ away from the original taking off position, which in my opinion is a good range.
4. Easy to use app. You can download the HS app to control the drone and to take videos/photos during the flight.
5. Great video and photos. The quality of the videos taken and transmitted directly into the app is OK, great for monitoring the drone’s view, and the video quality with the memory card is good. I’m showing a photo screenshot from the app during sunset time.
6. Compact size and great case to carry it. The weight of the drone is only 171g, and it folds to a very compact size.

Cons:
1. The weight of the drone is on the lower side, so you might have to be more careful to fly it during windy days.
2. Plastic surface may get scratched easily

Overall a great purchase. Would recommend to other friends.
