The Holy Stone HS270 offers a solid, well-balanced set of features and delivers good bang for the buck! The HS270 was fully assembled, and as a beginner, it was quick and easy for me to set-up and learn to fly. It sports a fold-able design which makes it easy to pack for travel; the transmitter is compact in size, so all-in-all its portability is a convenient feature. The build quality is solid, it feels well-made and durable. The HS270 is a forgiving and solid performer in flight; always best to fly in no-wind conditions, but I was able to fly comfortably with light breeze.
The transmitter is basic in design and has all functionality built into buttons and switches, and an LED panel, in lieu of an LCD. The transmitter battery is charged via a supplied USB cable. The smartphone holder on the transmitter is a little tight but setting up the app to connect to the drone WIFI was easy. Video, using the smartphone app, and recording to the phone storage is of surprisingly good quality.
The drone battery life is about 15 + minutes of flight time which is fine for me as I typically fly from my backyard. The battery has LED lights which indicate how much power is available. It comes with a spare set of propellers which thankfully I have not had to use. If you want to fly longer, you can invest in a second battery.
I really like the Holy Stone brand. I recently added to my collection the Holy Stone HS 700D 2K, which is a larger craft with a more traditional drone design. I will add a review for HS700D in due course.

Received this as a Christmas gift and I am having so much fun with it! This is my first drone so I’m a beginner and it’s been very easy to learn. It flys great and the camera takes awesome video! Definitely recommended!
