This machine is a very solid machine. Can be flown by beginners and seasoned Pilots like I've had two other cheap. Entry-level drones before this one. This one is Leaps and Bounds above those. Very steady picture Flight is very smooth. It also has GPS for returned home. I would suggest this drone to anyone getting into it. And want a good quality drone?

Holy Stone makes great drones. We had a HS110 for a while and it still flys well. We decided to try HS270 and it is a solid drone. Battery life is excellent (over 15 min, depending on flying conditions). Camera quality is great. Battery charging can be little better (takes about 6 hours). Controller comes with builtin rechargeable battery and you don't have to run around for alkaline batteries like the other drones have.

The hs270 drone is loaded with many features that are often found at higher price points, like a Follow Me feature, brushless motors, and a moveable camera (pivots 90 degrees). It is a good beginner drone that is easy to learn on, but not so limited that a more experienced pilot would get bored. While it is mostly made of plastic, it feels well-built and sturdy so that it could sustain some crashes which will inevitably happen since it does not have obstacle avoidance.
Overall, this is simply an excellent drone at a very fair price point. The Holy Stone app is also easy to use, with photo and video being a snap to access.

The camera on my HS270 wouldn't rotate out of the box...bummer. Decided to fly it anyway to test it out. I charged all the batteries, and headed to the park. Did all the calibrations, locked into GPS, was ready to go. Took off and flew out a few hundred feet and tested the RTH feature. The drone came back and landed at my feet, perfect!!! Flew out again and played around for a few minutes, the drone is very responsive for its weight. Did RTH again. This time, about 5-10 feet from landing, the drone began flying in a very wide circle and wouldn't land. So I canceled the RTH and the drone shot off to the left and smacked a tree about 20 feet away before I could take over!!! (Maybe operator error, maybe not) One of the rear arms bent back, and the props actually gouged a hole in the body. Man was I bummed, so much for my camera issue. I contacted HolyStone anyway...I was very honest about everything that happened...long story short, after sending them some pictures and a quick video, a replacement drone (with a working camera) was on my doorstep 3 days later!!! BTW, the original drone still flys fine after replacing the props. Great company. Ill update this after I get a chance the test everything out with my new bird! Thank you HolyStone!
Update: The quad is great overall. Easy to fly, and I’m happy with the vid quality. RTM seems to work great. The follow me feature is weird and glitchy, but usually works. I have attached a video of me doing a small range test. You’ll see the FPV cuts out as I turn around, but the controller never lost connection. I consider this a good entry level ‘premium’ quad.

I've very new to flying drones. I purchased the HS270 mainly for picture quality and long flight time. Within minutes, I felt very comfortable flying it. It handled very well in a 10-12 mpg wind. The construction is very solid. I highly recommend this drone for anyone just learning to fly. You won't be disappointed!
