Note: this a review of the HS100, not HS700, as in the title.
A fun drone. As a beginner, found easy to learn, easy to fly. Battery life is only 10-15 minutes, and takes several hours to recharge. If you really like to fly, I'd advise buying a second battery. Pleasantly surprised with altitude and range capabilities (again as a beginner). After a couple of months, I experienced motor issues. Holy Stone customer service offered to send 4 replacement motors - or - send a previously used, returned drone (at no expense). I accepted the 'returned drone', put it together, and have been flying it fairly regularly with no issues. Simply outstanding customer service.
On the original drone, I bought replacement motors for the 2 malfunctioning ones. On its first flight with the replaced motors, a third motor failed resulting in a crash. Apparently the motors have a limited life, and should be replaced periodically. They are relatively inexpensive, and fairly easy to replace. I am a little concerned that a motor could fail at an inopportune time.
Overall, I'm happy with the HS100 - although I wish the battery lasted longer, and didn't require such a long recharge time. I'm very impressed with Holy Stone's customer service - the best I've seen in years!

I've never before had a drone, so this was my first. I didn't want to get a cheap mini drone, only to outgrow it in weeks. So I decided to get a quality drone without spending big bucks.
The HS700 Ophelia delivered.
Opening the box revealed quality and good engineering. Setup and assembly was easy, straightforward, well documented and quick. Flying it was easy once I concentrated on the detailed instructions. The auto liftoff was flawless, and hovering near me was accurate despite gusty breezes.
Video quality was good and easily downloadable to my iPhone using the Ophelia App.
Overall I am quite pleased. This is a bargain with unexpected high quality. If you want a drone with more than basic features and high quality, I highly recommend the HS700 Ophelia.
Update. As I learned how to fly this drone, I crashed it a few times. I guess this is expected. The camera, while it takes good videos and still images, wouldn’t seat the microSD card. After contacting support, they sent me a new camera without a hassle and even though I admitted to crashing a few times.
All I can say is they have outstanding customer support. I’d like to give a shoutout to Crystal, who was exceptional.
By all means, consider Holy Stone for a drone!

The Holy Stone Hs700 was a home run! But you can't just base everything off of what you see on the internet. That's why and I went and ordered one for myself. I think it's almost impossible to try and pair the drone from inside but once I took it outside, in little to no time I was calibrated, locked in and up in the air it's a breeze to fly!
Can’t go wrong with this drone!

This drone is awesome! After looking at several other brands, I’m glad I went with the Holy Stone HS 700. It arrived in 2 days, well packaged. This drone seems very solid and light weight even with the battery installed. For the price (I did get it on a Lightning deal!) you can’t go wrong. It has the bells and whistles as the higher price ones. Set up was somewhat easy. Read over the instructions carefully, I did probably 3 times. You do have to calibrate the GPS each time you fly but after the first few times it’s very easy. Make sure you download the app from your manual and not from your App Store. The Ophelia app is awesome and easy to use. I have an iPhone X and the video is very vivid and clear. I did purchase an extra battery which I highly recommend. I did get the 20 minutes flight time as advertised which after 20 minutes your neck gets kinda sore from looking up Lol! Pros: Powerful and easy to fly. Well constructed. Great photos and video, you can remove the Micro SD and record straight to your phone. 20 min flight time. I recommend this drone to anyone wanting to get into this hobby. Cons: Not much to say here, I did have to go buy the outlet plug to change the batteries which I thought should be included. It does take a 2.0 amp plug which all I had was 1.0 amp for phone chargers. I did find a dual USB 2.0 amp plug which works perfect for having 2 batteries. Camera can be a little jittery at times due to wind.

Very easy to fly! I did crash mine shortly after having it and broke part of the camera frame. I called customer service, and they were very helpful. I would suggest this drone to anyone just getting into flying. I am overall a happy customer.
