The drone flies well in windy conditions, very good response to the controller. My first drone , easy to learn to fly. Takes good pics and videos. I would recommend it to a first time user who wants decent quality at a good price.

Holy Stone HS 700

I am a first time Drone owner and I decided to get the Holy Stone HS 700. My son has the HS 100 and I was going to get that but after reading reviews on Amazon regarding the brush less motors I wanted the HS 700. The Christmas price dropped for the 700 and was actually lower than the HS100 at the time so I made the plunge. So far I really enjoy flying. Iit is easy to pilot around the park with the GPS feature and the one button landing features are great. I will admit when I first used the return to home feature I was a bit nervous because part of the obstacle avoidance procedure is to climb to 35m before returning home and I had forgotten about that. Although I have a lot to learn it is awesome to know Holy Stone is only a cell call away from help. Seriously a call away anytime one of the main reasons I got this drone was because I heard of the Fantastic customer service and it is true. I have called on 3 occasions due to my newness at this and they have answered every time within 3 rings and solved my issue which is always pilot error every time. I will stick with this brand in the future and I am extremely happy I made this purchase..

First off, let me start out by saying that the customer service that I have received from Holy Stone has been impeccable. This is my first drone purchase and after reading hundreds of reviews from other manufacturers and watching several youtube videos on the HS-700(which are amazing by the way), I ended up going with the Holy Stone HS-700. Being that this was my first drone, I wanted to get something that was going to be affordable, durable, user friendly, and come with a decent camera of course. This package has exceeded all of my expectations so far. So lets get into it. After settling in and deciding that this was the drone I was going to go with I made contact with Holy Stone directly to get some of my few remaining questions answered. In my experience a company's product is only as good as there customer service representatives. I spoke with Sunny, and she was phenomenal. After a few emails back and forth, I had all of my questions answered and I placed my order. She was quick to send me the drone start up procedure in an email before the drone had even arrived, which made the first day out that much easier and enjoyable. Shipping was fast and easy as has been my experience across the board with Amazon. Except, for the extra double battery pack which I ordered as well from Holy Stone so that I could increase my flight time with less down time charging batteries. Excuse me while I ramble on this for just a minute. This had nothing to do with Holy Stone, but instead with UPS which was the carrier. The extra battery pack showed that it was going to arrive around January 2 initially. I received an email stating that it would actually come sooner. As I checked tracking from time to time I saw that it actually made it to my city of residence on the 27th of December. I was so excited. Then I saw that it was on it's way to Salt Lake City, which is no where close to me. Confusing, but I figured accidents happen and figured it would show up closer to the original delivery date. Which it did, until it got shipped back out to another city after reaching my city of residence for a 2nd time. As of right now I am still waiting on the extra batteries to show up. Hopefully UPS will get there stuff together and eventually ship them to me. Sorry about that, but I felt I needed to add in my discuss for UPS at the moment on this issue. So lets get back to the drone. Everything was neatly and securely packed inside the box. The directions were very easy to follow and the setup was as simple as attaching the propellers(which are clearly marked as to where they go, and just screw on to the brushless motors) and camera to the drone. Very Easy assembly. After downloading the App, and charging up the battery(which does take about 4-5 hours to charge) I was outside and the drone was taking flight. As I stated before, this is my first drone so I can't compare it to any others that are out there. But, for a first time user I was really impressed. The controller feels great in the hands and the attachment to connect your smart phone locks it in nice. Your left stick controls the altitude and left hand/right hand turns. While the right stick controls the forward rear movements and then strafe left or right(side to side movements while the drone is facing a particular direction). All of the feature buttons are nice as well. From the controller you can snap a photo or take video(the camera comes with a memory card in it. But if you want the photos and video to be stored directly to your phone then just remove the mini sd card from the camera), take off, and return to home. With your phone hooked up, it allows you to see exactly where the drone is facing and has some other great features as well. The follow me feature sinks to your phone and once it is engaged the drone will follow you wherever you go. There is also a guided route feature where you can draw a line on your phone's map and the drone will fly that route. It also has an orbit feature which dose exactly what it sounds like. Hit that button and the drone will begin to orbit your position. Lets talk durability. Being that this is my first drone I feared I would have some close calls, and maybe even some hard crashes. This thing is built like a tank. So far I've crashed twice. Once only a few inches off the ground where it ended up flipping over and landing on the propellers. That wasn't to bad. Some minor scratch's on the propellers. Still good to go. The 2nd one had me worried though. I figured I would have a go at night flying. Amateur Pilot, 2nd flight out. What could go wrong with that? So I successfully take off and put a little to much into the stick and find myself right over my neighbors house about 50 feet off the ground. This little thing can really move. I quickly try and move it away from her house and mistakenly hit the altitude stick instead of the forward stick. Whoops. I send it up into her tree where it clips a few branches, flips over and falls about 20 feet or so onto her roof. I can here the propellers spinning and grinding on the roof top as I quickly try to hit the shut down button on the controller. Luckily after retrieving it there was no damage at all, other than some minor scratches to the propellers, everything seemed good to go. So, I put it up for the night and annotated in the flight log that the drone comes with. NO MORE NIGHT FLIGHTS (for now). I've taken it out several more times since these 2 incidents and it runs like a champ. Absolutely ZERO issues. The speed and maneuverability of this little drone will amaze you. If you are somewhat of a novice when it comes to drones and are looking for a complete package drone that won't break the bank, I think you will be very satisfied with the Holy Stone 700. As I stated earlier, a company's product is only as good as it's customer service. Just the other day I received a follow up email from Sunny at Holy Stone asking me how things were going and apologizing for the issues that I am having with UPS. Great Drone, Great customer service. Definitely excited to see what they have coming out in 2019.

Am amazing drone! I have no experience flying drones. The first day I took it to a large field near a lake. On the first flight I crashed it. On the second flight I lost control and it flew over some trees heading into the lake. I hit the return home button but thought it was gone for good. We search the woods looking for it but thought I had just lost a very expensive drone on the first flight. Five or ten minutes later this drone appears in the sky and lands back where it took off soaking wet. Beats me how I got it back. It takes great pictures, circles, and does follow me incredibly. It comes with an 8 GB memory card it is a joy to fly. The return the home is the best option on it. It has saved my bacon many times. Very forgiving.
