This is perfect for a beginner!! This is my first drone and I like it way more than I thought I would. The camera quality is amazing for the price. I would recommend this drone to anyone.

I bought this for my dad, who is a former pilot (he's 82 and no longer flies). I thought it would be fun for him to "fly" again, and also useful to spot wildlife on his ranch. The task was given to me to set up the drone and teach him the basics--I am not adept at technology so I was very pleased that I was flying within 30 minutes of taking it out of the box. It's a good beginner drone and I think it will be perfect for what he'll be using it for. (Very lightweight, so it's not recommended to fly in wind.) My husband saw me practicing with the drone and guess what? I may have to buy another one.

Easy to fly (with gps on) wouldn't suggest indoors. Has good range for the size. Return home does not gain altitude before returning. It comes straight back no matter what's in the way lol. And it take a few to for emergency stop as well. Other than that the camera is great fairly stable and the app works well also.

it's a great drone for beginners, it can fly as high as 120m(altitude) and as far as 400m. The GPS mode is really great so it can hover at a specific place even though it's windy, and it can also automatically return home when out of battery. A single battery can run for 8-9 mins when recording , which is enough for me.
