The HS120D is lightweight and very stable in flight. It has a reasonably long flight time and takes good video. What’s nice about the drone is that it’s easy to fly, especially using the GPS. I would recommend highly for the beginner as it is affordable and built well. In addition because it doesn’t fold up there are less parts to break.

What a lot of fun. GPS holds drone in hover even in 5-10 mph wind. Altitude and distance are great for beginners, however I lost my streaming and gps functions at long range. ( I’m not sure if that is the drones fault or my phone/internet service). great beginner drone. I recommend it. Case is nice and protective. Camera takes pretty fair pictures, I included one. Flight time is about 12-14 min

I got this drone for my birthday and I really like it a lot. It is lightweight so you don't need to FAA register it, and it connects to your phone/tablet wi-fi to take really neat photos and videos. It has a "Follow You" feature that follows your device's GPS when connected but I haven't tried that yet. My only beef is sometimes after changing batteries it goes compass-crazy and flies around in wide circles but that could be me not calibrating it properly. I've crashed it into some trees and poles and not had to change any of the rotor blades or landing gear yet. Nice little entry level drone.

Even a youngster can use this.

Bought this for my 9 year old even though it recommends 14 and up. I have wasted a lot of money on drones made for kids and they have always been a disappointment. They never respond properly and end up in the yeah after only a few attempts. I thought I would try an adult beginner for him this time. At $160, it wasn't too big of a risk. My 17 year old figured it out quickly and shower the 9 year old house too use it and he was good to go. It has good control and the camera quality it pretty nice. Looking forward to better weather to capture more videos and fun.

A lot of fun but challenging to learn the controls. Sometimes takes off on its own while in the air..but overall once you use it more, you can and will master it. SUPER FUN!!!!
