Much Better than I expected

This is my first drone. I purchase this because of the features it offers, two batteries and the case as well and no FAA requirements. I had looked at the smaller ones and the larger ones, read tons of reviews on all different kind of f them and thought this would be a great "learner" drone.
So the drone arrived, couldn't wait to open it, got the batteries and controller charged up and started the set up. Well I thought I was following everything but it wouldn't calibrate. Tried several times and decided to call customer service. Let me first mention that I have several high end machine built in China and I have had to contact their customer service, Holy Stone's customer service it TOP NOTCH. Hold time was less than two minutes at 8pm. Nino talked me through the set up, still nothing so he asked for a video and said he would call back. I took a video and sent it off only to realize I hadn't attached it and that's why he didn't call back. The next morning Ysa had an email waiting for me saying she would help. The issue turned out to be NOT READING correctly and got everything working. They were right on top of thing and wanted to make sure everything was okay. I have had no trouble using their app on my phone, (Motorola E5Plus) then I tried and old LG phone without service (old verizon phone) and it also works fine with that!!!! So I don't have to use my phone I can use the one I was going to throw away. Neither of the phone would fit in the cradle of the remote, they would slip off so I laser cut a phone case to fit the remote that also fits my phone and added a sun screen. The case is great, every thing fits nicely. good protection sides and bottom but it does have a soft zippered cover, so I then made a landing pad that doubles as a hard cover so now everything is well protected.
There is a steep learning curve if you have never flown a drone before. I have also tried every feature and it all works as advertised by the app and just controller BUT many things HAVE to be done in the correct order. If not you will have problems. I live in a heavily wooded area so GPS it at time an issue, in the clearing it's fine. Use it in the beginner mode! Slow and easy. There are a lot of thing to learn but very I'm happy with my purchase.
UPDATE: I crashed my drone, which was totally my fault. I needed some spare parts which I could not find anywhere. So that left me with two options, either purchase another drone or contact them to see if they had parts available, I reached out to them and they were willing to supply me with what I needed. The parts were sent sent directly from China and arrived in less than 30 days. I would like to mention that I have dealt with many Chinese companies in the past but NONE as helpful as Holy Stone. They were quick to answer emails, if they didn't know what part I needed they asked for pictures and sent me my order in a quick timely fashion. I cannot speak highly enough how great their customer service is, especially the after sales service which is very important in my opinion! This is one company that I will defiantly continue to do business with that knows how to take care of its customers. GREAT JOB and keep up the good work......THANK YOU Jasmine!
