HS720E -> Outstanding Holy Stone Drone, great for all levels of fliers!

Wow, amazing, spectacular, outstanding, great quality, value laden, smooth flying, sharp photos, stable video... I could go on and on with how impressed I am with the Holy Stone HS720E. For a low cost drone, it packs in high end features and quality! I am, and continue to be, impressed with Holy Stone as a company and drone maker. Their HS720E (the flagship of their line) is a great drone for any level of flyer. I consider myself a drone enthusiast (15 drones in the family and growing), and the Holy Stone drones comprise 1/3 of my fleet. Why do I keep coming back to them? They provide exceptional customer service, extreme value for your dollar, and make really fun/easy to fly drones!
So why do I love the HS720E so much? Where to begin... so many reasons (which I opened with :) lol). The HS720E is an incredibly stable drone. It holds it position well, and flys smoothly without a lot of shaking and/or wobbling in flight. The Holy Stone HS720E is the first in the fleet to incorporate EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization). What is EIS? EIS is a camera technology that helps the camera compensate for wind/shakes. In essence, it provides smooth video and super clear/sharp photos. If you are taking video on a drone that does not have a gimbal (a mechanical stabilizer for the camera) or EIS, you will see a noticeable shaking (and/or “jello”) in the video. The EIS using advanced algorithms to compensate and adjust for the shake resulting in a very smooth video. One thing to note with EIS is that because of the advanced processing of video, it will be a little softer video because of the shifting of frames to compensate for the shaking. Pictures are super sharp with vibrant colors and crisp details. They rival images from my high end DJI Mavic Air 2. Are the images from my Mavic Air 2 sharper and crisper, yes... but for ~$700 more (DJI Fly More package), it better be. Everyone I have shown the pictures and videos from my HS720E are amazed at the sharpness, detail, and great quality!
I did many side by side tests of my HS720E comparing it to my other drones (smoothness of flying, photos, videos, flight time) and she held her own. I keep coming back to the price. The HS720E is a remarkable value when you consider all of the standard features that come with it... 2 batteries (~23 minutes per battery), very nice hard carrying case, extra props, and unrivaled customer service. The HS720E is feature laden, too... it has follow me, GPS enabled, return to home (RTH), Point of Interest (POI), decent range, and optical flow sensor. So they pack a lot into this drone! I only have 2 suggestions for Holy Stone: 1) is to consider changing the battery charging system. It consecutively charges the batteries (one after the other). It would be great to have them charge simultaneously or provide a charger for each battery. That would get me back into the air much quicker (to be fair, my DJI drones also charge consecutively and not concurrently). The 2nd consideration (and the is very minor) would be to force the HS720E to reorient itself when doing a RTH (return to home). Currently, if it goes into RTH mode, it will fly sideways, backwards, or at an angle, basically taking a straight path home and not turning to face home. It would be nice for it to face home to take videos or photos on the return, and would make it much easier to control (if needed) on the way back without having to figure out which way to move the sticks.
I really do think of Holy Stone as more than just a company but a family. I am a member of a couple of user groups where members support one another and one thing consistently heard is that Holy Stone takes care of their customers and are super responsive. In my dealings with other drone companies, they take 2-3 times longer to respond (sometimes don’t), and are nowhere near as personable as Holy Stone.
The HS720E is a great value for ~$300. You will not be disappointed. It is an easy to fly, and super capable photo/video drone! Here are some of my photos and videos... happy flying!
