If you're gonna spend 120 on an ok drone I highly suggest spending another 80 and getting the HS510.

You can immediately feel the quality and craftsmanship of this drone compared to slightly cheaper models. It is loaded with features for the price, plus all the features work as advertised so far. The gps function is very accurate and keeps the drone from straying off course while hovering even at high altitudes. It has handled wind gusts of 7 - 10 mph quite well. The extra options in the app are greatly appreciated. Such as limiting max height and distance. Which is great for restricted airspace, although to get authorization you do have to register with the FAA even though it's under the weight restrictions. One noteworthy thing is the controller thumbsticks are quite pressure sensitive unlike any cheaper drone I've used. Controller layout is simple yet effective thanks to the LCD display and Ophelia Go app. The brushless motors allow, on average, 4 battery swaps without getting too close to overheating. Overall I have been very satisfied with the HS510. Currently Holy Stone has great customer service that seem to want to please their customers. I highly recommend this drone as a great step up from entry level / semi-intermediate camera drones. The above video is at 345' altitude during sunrise, 4mph wind. I observed there wasnt much shudder in the camera quality. The intermittent lag was only noticed in the recording, but not real time, because I temporarily used a cheap low quality sd card.

Fun for Beginners and Pros in One Package

I have been flying drones for several years now. Give come plenty of drones that are good and plenty bad. However, I have never come across one that's good for both beginners and experienced drone operators. This Holy Stone HS510 drone is great to learn on and still fun for someone with experience. The drone is small in size but flies like a larger drone. It's a GPS drone so it flies like all the other more expensive drones on the market. The motor arms on this drone fold flush along the side of the body allowing it to not only be small but portable. You can even fit it into a jacket pocket and carry it around with the remote controller in the other pocket. But don't be deceived by the size, it flies and handles like a bigger drone. It comes with 2 batteries and a plug in charging base that'll change both simultaneously. So far I've been averaging about 20 to 23 minutes per flight. The camera takes 4K video and will also give you crystal clear still images. All the functions are controlled through the app that you download from the Google store or Apple app store. It's easy to understand and work with and simplifies your flying by making some actions happen with the push of a button like take off and return home. You can have it fly in different ways like with the remote, follow me or made it orbit an d record an object of interest. The nice thing about GPS based drones is you know where they are at all times. This drone has a feature I haven't seen yet on any of the drones I've flown and that's the ability to connect to both GPS and GLONASS satellites. That means you'll have a lot more satellites available to get more accurate positioning information. This all makes for fun flying and it all comes nice and neat in it's own carry case. As an experienced drone operator I am very happy and impressed with this drone and weather you are a beginner, novice or a pro you'll be pleased as well.

I'm really impressed with this drone! I wanted something that had a lot of great features and took high quality images without dumping a lot of money into it. I wasn't sure how much I would actually use it. Now that I have it, I want to use it all the time. Both the video and still images are very high quality. The drone is also very feature rich and has more than a lot of much more expensive models. If you're in the market for a great all around package this is it! Additionally, I had to reach out to support for some assistance and they were absolutely wonderful. They responded within hours and quickly addressed my issue.

This little thing is a beast. Just .5 grams away from needing FAA registration requirement. It's holds great in high winds, fast, a flashlight for night landing, and is perfect in fpv. Just only one thing that got me bother is that it does not have automatic 90 degree gimbal. So I find it best to keep it at 45.
