Plenty of back for the buck if you've been on the fence about a drone this is a great start.

So far so good. The drone flies really well even when slightly windy it seems to be relatively stable in gusts if there not too strong. I've only flown it 3 times so far but each instance went great without a hitch. Connected to 16 satellites each fly and all of the gps functions seem to work as advertised. From takeoff point to return to home using the rth feature it was within about 8 or 9 feet of the location of takeoff. The only thing I would change would be the charger as it is slooooooooow to charge. I will be ordering at least 3 more batteries for it and after the first 2 charges at about 5 hours each I decided to modify the battery charging cable so it would work with my imax charger (see photos) and it's like night and day difference. The imax charged it in under an hour at a starting rate of 2.5 amps, finished at 8.4 volts with a capacity of 1908mah in the pack. Pack never got over 95 degrees Fahrenheit during charging and the imax charger squeezed almost 200mah out of the pack as well compared to what the meter showed after charging with the included charger with the drone. All in all I am very pleased with this done (HS700 White) and with the addition of a couple batteries and a minor cable mod (be sure you know how first or learn how at least), there is huge fun to be had and lots of bang for your buck with this setup. I will also be looking into carbon fiber props or at least fiberglass as I believe this drone will be much more agile and responsive with that modification as well. The included props are slightly flexible. There not flimsy on the cheap side really it's just that the ascent could use a little more punch in my opinion and it would be fun to bank a little harder also. Haven't tried recalibrating the remote yet to see if that might aid with responsiveness but maybe next flight.

I'm only listing my major issue, there are lots of positives
Early Christmas present for me, yes I purchased the Holy Stone 700 it arrived today Dec 24th 2018, took 5 minutes to assemble the drone, the props just spin on and the leg supports just snap n' slide into place, camera does come with a 8Gb micro-SD card
This drone uses the Ophelia App
The videos I seen show a rechargeable battery pack for the HS-700 Controller, mine takes 4-AA batteries (see pic), I have to believe mine is the updated version see inside lid of box it says Dec 2nd 2018
I will test it's camera in flight and film some video (they say 1080p) and with the flight update will upload the video. Also Holy Stone says that this drone (HS-700) is compatible with the GoPro Camera version 2/3/4 which I am taking is you can connect your older GoPro USB to this drone and control the GP camera from the controller.....if that's the case, Nice, I ordered a factory refurb GoPro Hero 4 (4k video) when it arrives I will update this review ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE January 8th 2019: I purchased a GoPro Hero 4 for this drone, bad idea.... 1) You can't snap pictures or start videos on the GoPro Controller, only the gimbal will support the GoPro 2) The GoPro version 2,3 or 4's WiFi is on 2.4 GHz same as the HS700 Controller Major Fail, the 2 units have conflicting frequencies and you will lose signal from the controller to the drone 10ft in the air , and the same for the GoPro you will lose WiFi at the same time (Major Fail) I did a review on these on you tube just search for hs700 gopro fail 3) After putting the GoPro on the HS700 Gimbal and took flight the drone shook reinstalled the factory camera and the drone flew fine...repeated with the GoPro and again the drone shook (after this, I returned the drone and GoPro
If you do not plan to use a GoPro and keep the drone factory, enjoy.... it's a good drone ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Of course the battery has to have its own unique connector and if you want to purchase other ones they are up to $50 each on Amazon
The drone does come with a battery carrying case/Battery Charging Bag (explosion proof) and a log-book, nice perk, the HS-100 only came with a log-book
(I'm leaving this part here, Holy Stone gave me the solution) I'm not happy with the Android 9 (pie) WiFi data FAIL but I do have a tablet with Android 8 (oreo) and it works just fine, This problem has been resolved, read more with the 12-28-18 update
UPDATE December 26th 2018: the camera is perfect for pictures, as for video not so good, the camera they supply needs the ability to stabilize, the videos look like they were filmed on a railroad track, so I tried my DB Power 4k camera that has built in stabilizer and here is the video for that. This looks really good but the disadvantage is I don't have the ability of having FPV I'm flying by ground visual only, and according to the FAA you can't fly out of visual range anyhow.
UPDATE December 28th 2018: I will send an email to Holy Stone and ask and see what they say I am using a OnePlus 6T Android 9 smartphone, this drone would not transfer data, it would connect though, So I opened a trouble ticket and the solution is to disable Mobile Data and the HS700 and my HS100 now have FPV Holy Stone was quick with the response offered a solution that I never would have thought of doing with that I changed my original star rating from 3 to 5
The video attached to the review is with the factory HS-700 1080p camera, I have to say it looks really good
I do like that the controller for this HS-700 has an LCD screen for Altitude and Distance also battery life
Cant beat the price and quality of this Drone

This is a great GPS drone it has a lot of features such as follow me, circle me, and other features it also will return to home if the battery is low or something goes wrong and you lose signal. You get a battery charging bag so you can safely charge your battery you also receive a flight log book so you can log your flights or anything else you wish. It has long flight times and a 1080p high definition camera that sends the video back to your phone also has a sd card included to save your videos to all and all i give it 2 thumbs up

Mr. Met
I finally got to fly my new HS700 today. Weather has been awful, and flying it indoors is no fun.
I’m always impressed with the quality of HolyStone drones. This is my 4th one, and I like the design of this the best so far.
Assembling it is simple. No tools required, everything is twist and lock, and before you know it I was ready to fly.
I flew it today in some breezy conditions. Using the GPS mode stabilized it nicely. I turned off GPS mode mid flight to see what would happen. Away it flied, out of my control. Turned GPS mode back on and I immediately gained control. Pretty cool.
I put it to the test by flying it higher and further than I ever have before. In fact, had it so high that I lost sight of it in the overcast skies. I pressed “Return to Home” and sure enough, it did just that.
One thing I didn’t like is the color. I got the white one, and it was a little difficult locating it in the sky because it blended in with the overcast skies. Not that big of a deal, however I’d probably see the black one better.
I got about 20-25 minutes of fly time with the one included battery. I do wish it charged faster. I'll probably buy an additional battery.
